There is absolutely no doubt we have some challenges when it comes to getting our kids off screens and outside into the great outdoors and into nature. Here at Airtree we have always beleived in kids being outdoors and we have decided to help find a solution to this significant problem facing our current generation of kids. There are so many studies showing that getting kids back to nature plays a huge role in fighting mental health conditions and promotes healthier and protective and character building factors for our kids.
So this May we are opening up our nature based playground here at Airtree and offering 2 hour sessions in our nature playground. Outdoor Play in Mayย is an opportunity for pre school kids to come and play in our nature based playground and enjoy 2 hours of non structured nature based play. The nature playground has so many things to entertain the kids including: a mud kitchen, giant sandpit, pirate ship, balance logs, truck cubby house with slide, chalkboard, pirate ship, jailhouse, swings, monkey bars, climbing platform and rope swings; the kids will love how much there is to do and how much fun there is to be had.
Parents can bring along a picnic or some snacks to enjoy in the under cover seated area. Grab you mothers group, or a group of the kids friends and book a 2 hour outdoor play session. The kids will be outside playing in water, mud & sand; the dirtier they get will mean the more fun they have had; dress them appropriately – the kids will absolutely love it!
